Frequently Asked Questions

What is Redeemer?
Redeemer is a national alternative club night, taking place at loads of venues across the UK. You can find out more over at the official website.

What is Redeemer Girls?
The Redeemer Girls are our representatives across the nation. They're the public face of Redeemer, tasked with promoting us in a multitude of ways (on the streets, in magazines, at festivals, etc).

Who are the girls?
People just like you who love what Redeemer's about and want to be a part of it. You'll find them all over on the "Girls" page.

How do I become a Redeemer Girl?
All you have to do is first register on the site and then fill out our handy application form. An admin will then contact you with instructions as to what to do next.

Who decides who gets to be a Redeemer Girl?
Everyone! All applications are put to a community review here on the site. The Redeemer Girls are representatives of the Redeemer community, so it's up to you to vote them in. However, the Redeemer team do have final say on who gets in or not.

Wait a minute, I'm a boy! can I still join up?
No problem! We know it can't be all about the ladies, so you're welcome to apply too. The process is exactly the same, so what are you waiting for?

I'm a dinosaur!
No you're not. Don't be silly.

Do you allow nudity?
In a word; no. Redeemer Girls is not a modelling site and it is definitely not a porn site. It's a community site, intended to showcase the Redeemer Girls as more than just something pretty to look at. Some of the girls are models and some may do nude or semi-nude work, that's their prerogative and it's fine by us. There's endless debates you can have about censorship and the line between pornography and art. We don't want to rehash them all here, so it's easier to do things this way. We hope you can understand our position on this issue.

So, what do you allow?
A simple rule of thumb is that if you could happily post it on Facebook, it should be fine to have on here. If we feel you've posted inappropriate material, we shall remove it and politely inform you of what has been done and why. You are welcome to appeal any decision and re-submit any content.

What about comments/the forum?
There are rules regarding posting comments/in the forum. These are intended to foster a welcoming and friendly community. We don't intend to punish everyone for the slightest indiscretion and have a site filled with nothing but fake saccharin statements, but on the other hand, we won't tolerate hate or overwhelming negativity.

How do I report abuse?
Simply click the "Flag as offensive" link attached to the offending comment/post/whatever (or the little flag icon for forum posts) and the admins will be notified. If you want to go into more depth, or have a more general complaint, e-mail us (info [at] redeemergirls [dot] com) or use the contact form.

Why have you watermarked my picture?
Unfortunately, a lot of people have a nasty habit of grabbing stuff off the web and rehosting it elsewhere without any attribution. Adding a watermark with the Redeemer Girls URL on it should hopefully guard against this, as it at least points people in the right direction. We're not claiming ownership of your pictures in any way. Having the site automatically do it is a lot easier than trying to sort out everyone adding their own watermark.

I have a question that you haven't answered, what should I do?
You can reach us via info [at] redeemergirls [dot] com, or you can use our contact form. There's also the support forum. Try and give us as much info as you can (especially for things such as technical issues) as we can help you better if we know as much as you do.
